Noryl EN-185
Noryl EN-185 is an advanced engineering thermoplastic manufactured from a modified blend of Polyphenylene Oxide (PPO) and Polystyrene (PS). This material is widely recognized for its unique combination of dimensional stability, low moisture absorption, electrical performance, and thermal resistance, making it suitable for a broad range of industrial and electrical applications.
One of the key advantages of Noryl EN-185 is its exceptional dimensional stability. Unlike many engineering plastics, Noryl absorbs very little moisture, helping components maintain precise dimensions and consistent performance even in humid or changing environmental conditions.
The material provides excellent electrical insulation properties, making it a preferred choice for electrical enclosures, switchgear components, connectors, and electronic equipment. Its dielectric performance helps ensure reliability and safety in electrical systems.
Noryl EN-185 also offers good heat resistance and maintains its mechanical properties across a wide range of operating temperatures. This thermal stability allows the material to perform reliably in applications exposed to elevated temperatures and demanding service conditions.
The material combines lightweight construction with excellent mechanical strength, stiffness, and impact resistance. These characteristics contribute to long service life and dependable performance in industrial equipment and engineered components.
Noryl EN-185 is easily machined and fabricated into custom parts, making it a versatile solution for manufacturers seeking precision-engineered plastic components with reliable long-term performance.
Industries including electrical manufacturing, electronics, telecommunications, automotive, industrial equipment, power distribution, aerospace, and engineering fabrication rely on Noryl EN-185 for superior durability and performance.
What is ABS-Conductive?
ABS-Conductive is a combination of ABS and PVC which results in a thermoformable sheet that is both electrically conductive and fire-rated. Because of this unique combination of properties, ABS-Conductive meets the minimum static decay requirements as outlined in MIL-B-81705B and the NFPA Code 56A specifications. Products made from ABS-Conductive sheet provide permanent static protection. Additionally, it provides the dimensional stability typical of ABS plastics required for today’s robotic material handling systems.
ABS-Conductive is a thermoplastic sheet which combines high impact strength, stiffness and abrasion resistance with excellent thermoformability.
ABS-Conductive is ideally suited for applications in the electronics industry where dissipation of electrostatic charge is critical. It provides protection against electrostatic damage to sensitive devices being assembled, transported and stored in an electronics plant.
